Do you trade in excise products? Changes to permit requirements are coming!
If you trade in in beer, wine or other alcoholic excise goods between different EU countries, from the 13th of February 2023:
- In shipping 'excisable goods', both sender and receiver will each need a permit. This considers products for which the excise duty has already been paid in another EU country.
- In addition, you also have to declare every shipment the Excise Movement and Control System, or EMCS for short.
Don't have the time or capacity to work out this transition? We are here to help you!
